AUCTION IS NOW OVER
IF YOU HAVE WON A LOT - PLEASE EMAIL ME AT MAINSUKRAINE@OUTLOOK.COM ON MONDAY - WE WILL THEN DISCUSS HOW TO DONATE AND GET THE ITEMS OUT TO YOU.
FINAL TOTAL: £14, 666
I, like many, have been shaken by Russia's horrific attack on Ukraine. I stand in solidarity with all Ukranians. I'm aware I have a miniscule public profile, but if I can do some good with it, then it's a privilige and my duty. Plus, children in Ukraine being put through that? It's sickening. So I'm doing a charity auction - with all proceeds going to directly to Red Cross Ukraine as you'll be donating the money directly to them after the auction ends. 95% of goods will be posted by those donating them - in one or two cases I've been asked to post on that person's behalf.
For the next two weeks, until the 12th of March, I'll be running a live auction. I have asked people to donate things and I'll be donating stuff myself.
This is how it works:
- If you want to bid on an item you do so in the comments. Comments are at the bottom of the page. I will then put the running total next to the item. Please bear with me as I moderate the comments and update them. I don't want the blog to be swamped by a lot of bots etc so will be going through them as they come in. Patience at this time would be appreciated.
- If you're been outbid by the time I go through the messages, these will be deleted. Earliest and highest bid goes up first. Please assume that you have not got the highest bid and check the lot.
- If you get an error bid, email me. I will bid on your behalf.
- When the auction ends and you win you'll be asked to donate the full money directly to Red Cross Ukraine: When you bid it will be in Pounds Sterling, when you donate, you'll do so in Euros, please use a currency converter beforehand so you send the right amount.
- One you have an email reciept of your donation, email me at johnnymainsAToutlookDOTcom and your goods will be sent out by the donator. Because of postage rates this auction is for UK ONLY unless you are willing to pay for the postage yourself. If you still wish to donate, you can do using the above link.
- There will be more auction items added in the coming days.
- I will not be responsible for notifying you during the auction what the current total for lots are or if you have been outbid. When able, I will, but on the main, you'll have to do that yourself. Check late at night or first thing in the morning. Rebid if outbid.
- Please excuse the ragged nature of this post. I hate Blogger. It's a pile of poo. But it's free, so there you go. You may have to scroll down to reach lots after the picture.
- After the auction, I will post the redacted email proof of donations. Names and email addresses will be removed as per current data laws.
- Myself and donators cannot be held responsible for items lost in the mail. Where possible, proof of postage will be given.
